Course Layout

1. The first hole is a nice easy par 4. On a good day you may even drive the green only 275 metres away. Birdies abound here (a nice way to start).

2. The second hole, par 4, is a good 100m longer, but is straight. A good drive and a mid to long iron will have you on the green.

3. Another par 4, but caution is required. You can either try the corner with a driver or lay up with an iron. Both will give you a good approach shot.

4. The 4th is no easy par 3, playing 2nd hardest on the course. It is long but a straight shot with a long iron or fairway metal should set you up well.

5. This, the first par 5, is a slight dog-leg right. This will not present a problem to most, if you drive straight up the fairway you will have a good look towards the green for you second and third shots. Birdie is very possible.

6. This par 4 is made to look narrow by the over hanging trees, but don't be mislead it has a generous wide fairway and a good drive will see you well beyond the trees.

7. Go ahead, go for the pin. The bunker is only in play for short shots so go for the heart of the green. The trees on the right only make it look tight - ignore them.

8. Here is a par 4 as easy as they come, if you go par here you will feel like you have dropped a shot.

9. A good wallop with the driver and a three wood will either put you in chipping distance or, here's hoping, on the green. Watch out for the overhead wires - if hit it is compulsory to re fire.

10. A generous landing area awaits at about 150m out from the green. Be sure to put your second close to the pin as this can be a tricky green.

11. A longish par 3 with a slopped green. From the tee anything on the green can be considered a good day at the office. Make it a good shot that the gallery of kangaroos the often graze around this hole will enjoy.

12. This is the number 1 hole on the course with good reason. A good drive is required to get you into position for the approach which may well still be a long iron or wood to the raised green.

13. If you are going to miss here make sure you miss left as the right is all out of bounds. From the tee the fairway widens to a very large landing area. It is actually hard to miss this one.

14. This par 4 has a dog-leg left that can be rectified with a good tee shot down the right, opening up the green for a short to mid iron. Beware the green - slick and sloped.

15. A driver here would be too much fire-power, although you can get to the green over the trees. The best bet here is - hit to the corner and play a wedge to the green.

16. Just a humble par 3 for the elite, but for the rest of us - it has teeth and will bite. You will make 5 here easily if you are not careful and accurate. Beware the trees and the sneaky little bunker.

17. This is the longest of the par 5s and we saved it for the homeward stretch. If you are going well it could be a birdie chance, if you are not going so well then be prepared to cry. You must make the corner to have a shot at the green, and the green is slick, slick, slick. From the tee, the best advise is aim at the tree in the middle.

18. Ah.. the homeward hole. A mid-length par 4 with a green watched over by the members in the clubhouse. Keep focused and remember - refreshment is only a few steps away.
